A fun project

I finally mailed my last Christmas custom order yesterday.......PHEW! So now I can actually sew just for fun and for presents. I made this today for my sweet little niece. It is really hard to find personalized items when you have an unusual name, so I thought she might like this. It looks a little odd on my mannequin as the set is only a size 2/3 but I thought I'd share anyway. I think she will like the sparkles in the hat fabric on the skirt :o) What girl doesn't like sparkles??

Off to do some Christmas baking! Have a great day!

Yummy....

One of my favorite things about Christmas and Christmas parties are the finger foods!! I love being able to get one of everything :o) I found this Cheese Straw recipe over at Paula Deen's website and they turned out delicious. I didn't have a star tip, so I just used my cookie press with a flat zig zag sort of tip! lol No one at the party seemed to mind :o)

Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups self-rising flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cup 1/2 lb shredded sharp Cheddar, at room temperature
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Sift together the flour, cayenne, and salt and set aside. Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and cheese until blended. Add the flour mixture slowly, beating at low speed, then continue to beat for 5 minutes, until very creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl several times.

Using a cookie press with a star tip, make 3-inch-long cheese straws, leaving at least 1/2 inch between each on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to racks to cool. Enjoy!

FREE dress!!

The first person to email me at dandelionavenue@bellsouth.net will receive this free Daisy Kingdom dress! :o) (you will need to pay postage) It is not handmade, it is actually from Daisy Kingdom. It consists of the underdress complete with petticoat and the pinafore. It is a very generous 4 and measures 31" long. It is not new, my daughter wore it a couple times, but it is still a darling dress.
Again, please only get this if you know of a child who needs a dress and can wear this now. I do not want this to be sitting in another closet or just taken to be resold.

All of the other free items below have found new homes, and I will post as soon as this one does. Thanks and Good luck! Angela
