I just love this style of smocked sundresses. So sweet and adjustable. They look darling by themselves as dresses or tops and can be worn with bloomers, pantaloons or even jeans. Here is a rather shabby chic one that I made as a gift. It had bloomers to match.
Here is a closeup of the smocking:
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend. God bless all those that made this holiday possible!!

Thank you everyone! I just adjusted a regular bishop pattern to make it up. You just have to shorten the depth of the neckline for it, otherwise the armholes end up being too deep. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love this little dress! Did you smock the back as well? I would like to make this for a trio of nieces! Any additional pointers would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSorry that I just saw this!! I did not smock the back..........much quicker that way!lol Thanks so much. Angela
